Favorite nonfiction book which covered history, law, and ideas all in a well-written package: We the Corporations
Favorite contemporary fiction book in part because I started it thinking I’d hate it due to subject matter and was so so wrong: Sorrow and Bliss
Favorite fantasy(ish) series because of the author’s awesome combo of astounding creativity, sharp, funny, and well-crafted characters, and a plot that once it took off really flew : The Books of Babel series
Favorite mystery(ish) book that managed to create suspense via character, witty writing, emotional depth, and story and knew exactly how long to be and when to end: Too Close
TV/Streaming:
Favorite TV show I previously hated but turned out to love: Succession S1 & S2 (and S3 review coming soon)

Favorite movie that basically everyone else on the planet loved and yeah moi aussi: CODA
Favorite movie where I liked it primarily because of the lead actor’s performance and am not totally clear what I would think of the film absent that performance: Lara
Favorite genre movie that delivered huge action sequences with character, politics, and story oh and maybe also made me pat myself on the back a bit for my amazing memory of the books: Dune
Favorite movie that wasn’t perfect but still evoked a very intense reaction on my part and an interesting post-movie conversation about the circumstance and the choices the main character made: The Hunt
